languajixHaving some thoughts about starting a new TMNT community on Dreamwidth.
The other existing TMNT communities have mods that have been inactive for years, and/or were last posted to almost a decade ago.
I guess I'm thinking, I'd really like to promote a TMNT community in some of the community promotion comms on Dreamwidth - on the distant possibility of finding more ninja turtle fans, or having a clear landing spot for any fans newly joining Dreamwidth in the future - and I'd rather it be a community with active mods. And if that has to be me, I'm up for doing some regular posting to keep it alive. I think for my own sake, a gen community would be easiest to handle, although I do realize that might limit engagement, so I'm not 100% on that.
I haven't decided for sure if I'm going to go through with it, yet, but I'm seriously mulling it over.

I think, especially with the new show coming out soon (and of course the wealth of the material already existing within the franchise), it shouldn't be too difficult to find things to post in there to encourage engagement and keep it alive, even if it might be pretty quiet for a while.
